PRESIDENT TRUMP’S SIGNED TIE TO BE AUCTIONED AT AUCTIONEERS’ CONFERENCE & SHOW BENEFITING ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL
On Friday of this year’s 70th International Auctioneers Conference & Show, a necktie signed by President Donald Trump at the 2019 State of the Union address will be sold at auction, with proceeds benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
PRESIDENT TRUMP SIGNED TIE AUCTION
When: Friday, July 12, starting at approximately 6 p.m.
What: On Feb. 5, 2019, President Donald Trump announced during the State of the Union that his administration would ask Congress for $500 million over the next 10 years to fund research on childhood cancers.
After the State of the Union, National Auctioneers Association (NAA) member and Congressman Billy Long asked President Trump to sign his tie, which had been designed by the patients at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. President Trump signed the tie. Recently Congressman Long announced that the tie would be sold at auction at the July NAA Conference & Show in New Orleans, with all proceeds going to St. Jude. The auction will be held July 12 during the International Auctioneer Championship (IAC) at approximately 8 p.m., just before the IAC winners are announced. The auction will be broadcast over IAC Live! on the NAA Facebook page, and interested bidders may bid through multiple bidding platforms, all of whom will have donated their fees to be part of the auction.

Remaining balance will be wired to the National Auctioneers Association within one business day of the end of bidding. The National Auctioneers Association reserves the right to sell to the second-highest bidder in the event the successful high bidder does not comply with the terms of the sale.
PROCEEDS: The buyer hereby agrees that 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the St. Jude/President Trump signed tie will go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. A receipt will be issued for chartable donation/tax purposes.
